Auto complete address

With OE on the old computer when an address was started in the To box the
address would be automatically completed. Now in Windows Mail into which my
address book has been copied, this only works if I have previously sent the
recipient a message. Yes, the the "Automatically complete..." box in Tools
has been checked unchecked rechecked & applied. Any other solution than
emailing the entire address book?

Apparantly with W.M it only remembers the last 29 contacts that you have used.

For autocompletion, it doesn't use the contacts list (address book).
Instead,
it uses a separate list of the last 29 addresses you sent messages to. This
list is very hard to edit; it's easier just to send messages to the 29
addresses
you want on the list.

If you'd rather use the contacts list, start a new message but don't type
any part of the address. Instead, click on the To: line. If this doesn't
bring up the contacts list, click on Tools, then Select Recipients in the
new message window.

unlike xp you have to enter the first 3 characters of the name for auto complete to try and work.

and as has been mentioned, even then it only works on the last 29 you have used.
