Auto Add feature gone??

This has been bugging me for a couple of years. There USED
to be a feature in word that would add numbers quickly for
you. If you had a few numbers in a document, you could
highlight them then press ALT + "=" and the sum of the
numbers was placed in the clipboard. You could then paste
it where you wanted.

It was very handy - but it seems to have either gone away
or been hidden undersome other keystrokes.

Can anyone enlighten me? Can't find anything in the help
about it.

Ross.

The command, ToolsCalculate, is still there. But, it isn't assigned to a
keystroke by default anymore. You can assign it, however. I have mine
assigned to Ctr+Alt+Shift+=.

Tools - Customize - Keyboard button. Set Categories to All Commands; set
Command to ToolsCalculate. Click in the Press new shortcut key box, press
the combination you want to use, then click Assign.
