Authentication for RDC

I am on Server 2003 SP1 and an XP SP2 system trying to connect securly.
I try to setup aunthentication, but I don't know where to "enable" it for my
XP system.
When I try to connect, I get the error warning:
remote computer cannot be authenticated
I am able to log onto the system as they're on the same domain and i'm
logging on as the local domain admin account, but I would like to setup some
secure communication or channel.

Thank you.

I'm assuming that you're running the newest version of Remote Desktop client? I haven't run Server 2003 long enough, but I don't believe that the "authentication" in the new version of the RDP client is supported in Server 2003. This is being introduced to take advantage of the new features in Windows Vista and RDP. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

By default, the RDP connection is secure and encrypted. Even the logon process.

The link below should help you resolve what is happening. RDP does use an
encrypted channel but there is a remote possibility of a man in the middle
attack. When TLS is enabled for RDP then you use it to authenticate with the
remote server using a certificate/private key it has installed on it and the
client computer needs to trust the CA that issued the certificate. If the
remote server does not have a certificate you will get that warning but
still be able to connect.
