XP on Domain: Pre-authentication failed

Hi,

Having below logged in the DC Security events.
User is on laptop and can't login, connected to the network or disconnected.
Not a password issue. I manually assigned a password.

This wouldn't have anything to do with the user's password. Make sure the
time zone, daylight savings time, and date/time are correct on the client.
You may find it easiest to disjoin/rejoin the domain, but if you don't use
roaming profiles and folder redirection you'll have to manually recreate a
lot for the user afterwards.
