Audio System Event? (no sound)

I was using the mini headphone jack on the front of the computer to send
audio into headphones and my powered speakers.

When unplugging the speakers RCA input and went to re-insert, a small spark
occured (the mini was still plugged into the headphone jack.)

No audio and a popup stating Audio System Event... Audio device insertion
event-
Location: Rear Panel-Desriptionink Jack. I have nothing plugged in to the
Pink Jack and never have.

Did I short something? No audio from computer, please assist. No yellow
exclamation points under the Sigma Tel Audio in Contol Panel.
