Audio problems with Windows Media Player

L

Loring Hutchinson

I suddenly lost the ability to use any of my software that has audio.
The lasst time I had audio was when I used Ulead software to burn a
DVD slide show with an audio sound track.

I have a P4, 1.3GHZ, Win XP, 1GHz of RAM and 2 hard drives, a 30 Gb
and a 100 Gb.

When I go to Real player I get the following. "Cannot open the audio
device, another application may be using it"

When I open Windows Media Player I get. "WMP cannot be used because
the required audio hardware cannot be found"

I went to the control panel and opened "Sounds & Audio Devices"
Under the "Volume Tab" I get "No audio device"

Under the Hardware Tab I get. "All working properly" when I check
each device in the list.

I'm Stumped!!!!!!!
