Audio Driver

Majid Azimi

My Audio device is Realtek onboard. Windows vista found it and installs
driver and also I am installing the driver, but again I dont hear any sound
with speaker or headphone.please help me??

Hi, Majid.

When that happens to me, it usually is because I forgot to turn on the
speakers this morning. :>{

But that doesn't explain why your headphones also don't work. (They are
plugged in, right? To the correct output jack?)

Have you clicked Control Panel | Sounds | Playback?

I also have Realtek onboard. When I first installed Vista Ultimate x64 a
year ago, there was no sound. But I visited Windows Update almost
immediately, it found and installed drivers, and I've had sound ever since.

I've seen new drivers on the Realtek site, but I've not downloaded them.
Device Manager says I'm now running Realtek High Definition Audio, Driver
Provider: Realtek Semiconductor Corp., Driver Date: 10/16/2007; Driver
Version: How do those numbers compare with yours?
