Audio delays when adding clips on the timeline

I am simply adding 3 clips together that I have trimmed
the beginnings and ending of to get the best of each
clip. I have added a beginning title and ending title and
everything works well except the audio on the 3rd clip.
It will start usually after a 5 to 10 second delay..
Why? I haven't moved the audio portion of the clip on the
timeline either. Nothing on the audio portion of the clip
has been edited other than the length of the clip itself.
 
What kind of clip are you adding to the timeline ? WMV clips, DIVX clips ?
AVI ?

AVI.. I have made several movies in the same manner and
never had this problem before..
