Audio cuts in and out

I attached a 192kps mp3 file to some video clips and, when
played, the audio sound very bad (sounds like a poorly
received radio station --cuts in and out quickly/lots
of "static").

That's over the 160 kbps threshold that MM2 has problems with on MP3 files
sometimes. Can you convert it to a bit lower bitrate?
