Audio Choppy

I have an Avance AC'97 Audio card and it has worked fine
for years, but recently it has been sounding "choppy" I
have updated the driver and even rolled back the driver
but it dousn't work infact the only way to fix it is to
disable then Reenable it throught the device manager.
Someone help please?

Your post reads that you've fixed it by disabling and
then re-enabling it! So what is the problem? The below
