attachments in e-mail

I recently loaded some updates to my Windows Millenium
program. Now when I go into Internet Explorer & open my e-
mail, I am unable to open any attachments. The box to
open them is a very faded color & I can't click it on. I
don't get any warning that the attachments is unsafe or
anything like that. Can anyone help me with this? I
would appreciate!

relating to WindowME or Internet Explorer would provide the correct

First this is not a Windows ME group.
Second this is not an Outlook Express group

From Outlook Express goto
Tools
Options
Security tab

untick the "Do not allow attachments etc" box
