If I send an email with more than one attachment, the recipient receives 5
copies of the email. If I send an email with one attachment, the recipient
receives a single copy, as expected. Any ideas?

Not without a whole lot more details about your setup like version of
Outlook, account type being used, method of adding attachments, etc...

Outlook 2003. Typical attachment procedure , "New" email, File add, one at a
time. Wireless, through a wirelss router on highspeed cable (Shaw Canada),
using a residential Shaw email address sending through Shaw mail servers. I
can provide any further info. if needed.

Thank You

Are you using a virusscanner that integrates with Outlook as well? Disable
this integration and see if it still happens.

Outgoing scan was disabled at time of install. checked and it was re-enabled.
Disabled outgoing scanner and tested. Disabling scanner seems to have fixed
the problem. Thank you
