Attachment Problem

P

Paul M. Benoit

I am using MSOutlook 2000. I've used it for several years
and have used the "Richtext" format for emails. Only
recently have I encountered a major problemn in that
attachments sent in this format are not going through to
the receiving email....The emails are arriving, minus the
attachment.

I tried sending to myself and it comes through, but as
a .dat file.

Attachments do come through when I switch to HTML or
PlainText format....but, I prefer richtext and have never
had that problem...

Please help, if you can!

Most other e-mail programs can't handle Rich Text format messages (I've
heard Eudora may be able to, but that's the only exception), so instead
they receive the Rich Text formatting in that .dat file, and any other
attachments are lost. You'll have to send messages in HTML or Plain
Text to the non-Outlook users if you want them to get your attachments.
