Attachment i Windows Mail

When I try to attach a Word file to a mail i Windows Mail I get the message
that the programme cannot find the file. I had no problem when using the
Outlook Express in Windows XP. Now when I use Windows Vista suddenly the
problem occurs. By the way, when I try to get out of the problem by
transferring files to my old computer (with XP-system) the Word-files from
Vista are not accepted.

I had this problem too, I finally figured out that you have to close the
Word file, then attach it. Apparently you can't attach a file if it is open
on your computer.

Windows Mail can't attach a file that is open in another program, so
be sure to close Word first.
The newer Windows Live Mail does not have that limitation. You are
