When watching TV through the X800 XT, the sound is all static, no
matter what channel, the static doesn't change. There is no
corresponding audio to the channel. The sound card is on board.

This from the information panel in the control center:

Further Information:

I am watching TV Live, not captured and played back. Also the format
is NTSC, I have checked the cables and splitters, they are fine.

Borderline Psycho

I have the same problem on my X600 Pro, but ONLY after listening to FM
radio. Try downloading some third party tuner software (both SageTV
and BeyondTV have trial periods) and see if that fixes the issue. Be
careful with Sage, though, because uninstalling it on my machine broke
video playback in Win Media Player.

I've come to the conclusion that the ATI MMC software is pure garbage.
