ATI Saffire 9800 Pro fan: always on?

Trying to diagnose a problem with above mentioned card. Is you
fan always working from when you start the computer? Mine seems
to start only after a few minutes.

Yes, the fan starts right away when I turn on my computer with my
built-by-ATI 9800 Pro.

Absolutely it should start straight away.

It's either dirt or the bearing on the fan are going.

If i want to buy aeplacement fan... which one do you suggest?

I understand that almost any small fan that you can buy at a computer outlet
would be ok. A lot of people seem to go for Zalman heat sinks because they
are silent and do and excellent job of cooling.
