ATI Radeon 256mb X600 upgrade issues

Hello all,
I am a newbie to video card updates and need assistance on this.
I need to upgrade my
256MB ATI Radeon x600 card driver. I cannot find a good explanation of
how to do this on a step by step process.

I would greatly appreciate the help.

Current Driver Info:
Driver Package : 8.142-050531a-024137C-Dell
2D Driver Version : 6.14.10.6542
Direct3D version : 6.14.10.0316
OpenGL version : 6.14.10.5148
Catalyst Control Center Version 1.2.2153.2409


Need to upgrade to:

For Windows 2000/XP
ATI video card drivers: Catalyst 5.10 Version: 6.14.10.6553\


Any assistance would be greatly appreciated and I mean it!

1. Control Panel -> Add or remove programs -> ATI Software Uninstall Utility
2. Reboot the system
3. Install the new Catalyst release (latest version is 5.12)
4. Reboot the system
5. Choose the screen resolution you like
