ATI Radeon Mobility X600 Drivers for Toshiba Tecra S2

I have an old Toshiba Tecra S2 laptop that crashes occassionally when
you try to play games, it goes to a blue screen of death with an
error
code that involves the graphic drivers.

I want to upgrade the video drivers on this machine, it has an ATI
Mobility Radeon X600. But when I try to upgrade from ATI's site it
tells me the drivers aren't compatable and I need to get them from
Toshiba's site. But on that site the only graphic drivers they offer
for this model are from 2005.


So... Am I screwed or is there a way to get ATI's normal drivers
working in this machine? Am I forced to use the customized Toshiba
version from 2005?


(ps I've also tried Omega drivers, the problem remained)

Yes, unfortunately, you have to use the Toshiba version to get
functionality. Common issue for laptop video drivers.....
