ati adapter

hi yall, i have a ati magnum/xpert128/xpert98/xpert2000 video adapter .
im running xp home on a old SAG corporate computer.

my question is: i have the desktop set at 1024 by 788. that is all fine and
good.

cept when i go to safe mode , the setting is 800 or 600 by whatever. and
the programs i call up in safe full up my screen and beyond.
cant get to the control buttons on any of the interfaces.
i tryed changing the settings while in safe mode but they wont take effect.

any one know how i fix that?

You can't. Safe Mode loads a very generic SVGA driver. You can move the dialogs around. Alt, Space, M. Then use the cursor keys to move the dialog, then press Enter when its where you want it.

thanks that will let me shut them down after i open them, mostly av programs.
but getting to the control buttons to scan, or put in a chest or whatever.
that is my biggest problem, thnaks
