Hi friends,
a strange event is in my PC!
Help me, please.
In 2002 I built a PC like this one:
ABIT KR7A-RAID motherboard with ATHLON 1800+
512 MB of RAM
2 hard disks of 80 GB (MAXTOR), RAID 0
Video card ATI All-In-Wonder Radeon 8500DV
Audio Card Creative Sound Blaster Audigy Platinum Ex
Windows XP Professional, italian version
This machine worked ok. I recorded some films from the TV tuner: ok.

Some days ago I decided to install Service Pack 2 on the PC.
I thougth to start from begin.
So I formatted c: unit, I installed Windows XP, then service Pack 2
with last udates, and all
software of Creative and Ati cards.
All woks, but the video recorder of ATI.! Now I cannot record anything
from
the TV tuner! It's very important for me.
Help me, please! I tried various of Catalyst driver with their
corresponding
version of MMC, also those one that before worked, but nothing now
works.
Instead, recording only audio part works!
Thank you very much.
Massimo.

Just restore the system to an earlier stable point, suing the System Restore
feature in Windows XP.

it appears he said he did a fresh install.

My advice, install XP with sp1a, individual sp2 components can be had
using windows update. actually i think sp2 is crap. warning you if you
dont have AV or firewall.
no software in the world is going to protect a pc against a stupid user,
so if you have good surfing habits, install sp1 and choose your critical
sp2 updates manually.
