Hi

Please could you give us a bit more info as to why you want to update the BIOS are you having any problems at all? If not then I wouldn't bother updating it.

Could you also let us know the specs of this pc.

Thanks

I would look for other solutions to your BSOD, like posting them here for us to look at, the whole error message would be helpful.

I agree with wizkid, I see no reason to update the BIOS unless, it "fixes" a know problem, check what is know first.

thank you muckshifter how would i post my BSOD error,i will explain some of the problems, apart from random BSOD,sometimes it even starts with a check disk before it loads windows, and everytime i leave it on idle at nite when i wake up I find it on BSOD,and the errors are different, like irq_not_less_or_equal,

How can i post the reports??

sorry, but even Microsoft engineers are crap at reading dmp files ... ;)

All we need is what is written on the actual BSOD, hence the paper & pencil ...

have a read at ...

http://articles.techrepublic.com.com/5100-10878_11-6053684.html

... make sure Auto-Reboot is turned off so you can read, and see the blue screen error.

Go to Start / Control Panel / System
Go to Advanced
Under the Startup and Recovery section, click Settings
Under System Failure un-check "Automatically restart"
