Hi

I bought this mother board this week end and installed Audacity for
copying music via the audio in on the motherboard. It appears that the
audio input is not recognised. Had this problem once before with A7V8X
motherboard. Is this a standard problem with Asus motherboards as
thias works fine with Gigabyte mother boards.

Did you enable your "Line In" through the recording properties window?

Not sure how you get to this. Don't remember doing this before. If you
mean the drop down box. It is greyed out.

Open up the master volume app (the speaker in your taskbar). Go to Options
Properties and select an input device for "Mixer Device" (and then/or hit
the button for "recording", depending on your version of Windows.).
