Associating files

How do I associate files? When I try to open some attachments in my e-mail I
get a message that it is not associated with any file. What am I supposed to
do? HELP

Email the sender and ask them what program
you need in order to read the email message.

One of them is a pdf file, the others are pictures from Kodak and I have
Kodak software.

Save the attachments to a folder and then open it. This is because of a
change introduced in Windows XP Service Pack 2.
