Assistant woes

Ever since I installed Frontpage 2003, I've had problems with regards to the
assistant. I don't always have it viewing, but when I need help, it's what
I use. At first I would get errors that said the assistant wasn't installed
.... even though I could see it. However, it caused the office to crash.
Again, when I rebooted, it would eventually give me "assistant" errors.
Now, the crashing has stopped, but it reverts back to clippy which I "never"
choose. I always use the cat ... but on reboots, it reverts back to clippy
without any error messages or failed programs.

Is this a known glitch or hiccup with 2003. My other office programs are XP
.... I only upgraded to Frontpage 2003 for now.

Any thoughts ... anyone else have this experience.

I'd appreciate your comments. Thanks.

If you have some Office XP or Office 2000 apps running concurrently with
Office 2003 apps, you will get errors with the assistants. You may have to
manually re-load (from the help menu) and you may find your selected
assistant changes on you.

Stefan,
I installed every component ... I selected "run from my computer" or
something like that. I've learned to do that with MS software, because it
is sometimes a hassle to try and install later ... at least that's what I've
noticed.

Also ... the assistant will always show if I reboot, it's just that
sometimes (only when Frontpage is running), I get assistant errors ...
telling me that it's not installed ... yet I can see it on the screen.
Doesn't make sense to me. I've uninstalled it and reinstalled ... didn't
help.

Thanks for you help though ... it was a good suggestion.
