assigning printers to computer, not to a profile on 2000

i am having trouble placing a printer on a client computer.
the printer is on a print server which is installed to the
server and then feed out the clients. only the problem
being they are saved to each indevidual profile and not to
the computers local settings. can anyone help?

Paul,

Network printers are per user and local printers are per computer. You can either setup a local printer with a local port
whose name points to the shared network printer or you can create a script that will add the network printer to each user's
profile.
