ASMS Windows Setup

After trying to repair Windows xp professional , using the tools accsesed by
booting with the windows disk, the setup tells me it cant find the file
"Asms" without it I cant boot to windows. I have read in a article around
here , that i need to modify the registery

got to the step where i need to delete Upper filters and Lower Filters , But
only Upper filters is to be found , and some of the others there dont have
either upper filters or lower filter. what do I need to do? delete what i can?

You probably are using a 'bad burn' of a copy of the setup CD.

And to answer your original question, yes, you can delete the upper or lower
filter entries and they will be recreated as necessary.
