You have the latest Cumulative Security Update for IE already installed,
Chris. Did you install it via Windows Update?

Yes I did. In fact, recently I've been getting download
notifications of security updates from microsoft on a
daily basis.

Note: If you must use Post instead of Reply please at least do not change
the Subject. That way your additions will be grouped with your original
thread appropriately by most newsreaders, including Google Groups
(but not the MS web interface.) Google Groups may group both threads
because the only difference is in the case of the first character but
Outlook Express (for example) is case sensitive for this. The real issue
though is that there is no References: header created when you Post
instead of Reply. If that was there your reply would be more likely to be
threaded correctly by all newsreaders.

Check your Security options and ensure you have enabled
Allow META Refresh
