Are all DVI-D-SUB adapters the same?

I'm about to order a 3dlabs Wildcat VP880 Pro graphics card and I want to
use it with two CRT monitors. It only comes with one DVI-D-SUB adapter.
Can I use any other adapter for the second monitor? Are they all the same?
Are there ones that are better quality than others (clearer signal)?
