arabic numeric support in Windows XP Pro

Hi,
I just installed the arabic language package for WinXP Pro so I can type in
arabic. But somehow i don't get the numeric part of my laptop keyboard to
type arabic numbers. It continues typing normal numbers. Is there anyone who
knows how to change this???

To type Arabic numerals in MS Word, have a look at this absolutely

hey, thanks,
i followed all the steps,
but i still can't type arabic numbers in windows.
i checked the keyboard layouts on microsofts website
and the three available layouts don't show arabic numbers, but normal numbers.
so i suppose microsoft doesn't support arabic numbers in windows???
which is strange because everyone i know is perfectly able to type arabic
numbers in wondows...

but even in word it doesnt work.
so i'm about to make a new keymap with msklc,
but there must be an easier way to do this...

Your observation is obviously at variance with
the facts, seeing that I attached a file with arabic
numerals inside. There are two possible explanations:

- You are using a version of Windows or of Word that
does not support this feature, or
- You are not exactly following the author's instructions

Hi,

You do not see the Word document Pegasus attached because you use the
Web interface Microsoft provides to the newsgroups. You need to switch
to a newsreader, e.g. Outlook Express.
