APPWIZ.CPL problems...

When i open the control panel add or remove programs; i get the following error:

"Change or Remove ProgramsAdd New ProgramsAdd/Remove Windows Components" left
justified on first line and an entire blank window.

I did search the newsgroups, try the fix said in Q266668 from microsoft support,
re-install appwiz.cpl, run purge, reinstall IE etc. etc... but nothing seemed
to fix the problem. Only thing, i didnt do is to re-install my win 2000.

Is there a way to reinstall just the control panel alone? Why would installing
IE affect control panel? Can someone help me out. What can i do to fix this
issue without re-installing win2k.
