applying hotfix offline

Dear all,
I have a standalone WindowsXP professional workstation dedicated for
DVR (digital Video recording). It has no network link, not even LAN.
Now I would like to apply hot fix to it by,say USB devices/disk. I
want to copy something first into the usb device and plug it into this
standalone workstation.
I think I can do
1, fresh windowsupdate in another windowsXP which connects to the
internet, and see what it is downloading and where it stores stuffs,
then copy those hotfix to the usb device, then plug the device to this
standalone workstation.
2, Then in the standalone workstation, start windows update somehow and
when it is trying to download hotfix, it's already there from the usb
device.

My question is
in 1, where is WindowsXP storing the downloaded hotfix?
in 2, in the un-networked windows XP workstation (standalone), how can
I initial a windows update BATCHLY (without double clicking each
hotfix, let go through just like connected to the update server)

Or any comments/suggestions I can update my un-networked WindowsXP pro?

Thanks in advance
Joshua

Don't try to do the update from one machine, then just copying the same
updates to the other.....

Try this link, and get all and apply..
http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/catalog/en/

Gone through winUpdate -> Use Admin options option (in right column))

(this is english, at first I had it ending in ../fi/ , as I've got finnish
XPpro...)
