Application Popup Event 26

I have Windows XP Professional Service Pack 1 running on
an IBM Thinkpad T30. Recently, I began seeing
Application Popup events (Event 26). The message text
is "Application popup: Windows - System Error :
Insufficient system resources exist to complete the API."

I see this in two circumstances: When I attempt to
hibernate and (multiple times) when I resume after
Standby. Looking at the Event Viewer, I can see that the
event is issued every five minutes during the stand by
period.

The only change I can remember making just before this
started happening was to add 512m of RAM to bring the
total up to 1G.

Your hibernation file should be as large as RAM, so your hypothesis will
probably prove to be correct, Tom.
