application not found

Outlook 2003 will not let me open .gifs or .jpegs, comes back "application
not found" although I can open them in windows explorer. Can anyone help
please.

Change your file association for image files. If you have Office, install the
MS Office Picture Manager. If you don't have Office, use Windows and Fax
Viewer. You might have another photo image editor that hijacked all your jpg,
gif files and Outlook can't use it to view images. Your Security settings in
OL might not allow you to open image files. Check it in Tools, Options,
Security, Change auto download settings, uncheck "Don't download....."
