Application Hang Event ID 1002 and 1001

I have several users in my environment that have internet explorer error on
them. The problem, to my knowledge, can't be recreated. The application
log reveals the following:

Event ID 1002

Hanging application explorer.exe, version 6.0.2800.1221, hang module
hungapp, version 0.0.0.0, hang address 0x00000000.

Followed by event ID 1001:

Fault bucket 50080998.

Can anyone give me an idea where to even start troubleshooting this?

Thanks for the reply, but I had already hit these sites with no luck.
Neither describe my issue directly. When these errors occur are there files
that are created by the OS that I could utilize in troubleshooting?
