Apple Launches Software to Run Windows XP

am i the only one that thinks this move might backfire on apple?

if you can pick up xp home for $99, what incentive is there for a
company to port their code to os x and produce an inferior product at a
higer cost? doesn't apple have some sort of licensing fee?

why in the hell would i use office for mac when i can use the superior
office 2003?

this move sets up the possibility for apple to increase their
marketshare in the computer market, but stagnate in the platform
market.

this will also give the people who bitch and complain about how
"unstable" xp is and how fantastic os x is to try it out and realize
what they're missing.

i used to work for apple and i gotta tell you that it was shock
treatment to have to spend eight hours on os x without a pc in sight.
that being said, they're both unique and entertaining in their own ways.
