Appearance of Shutdown/Restart/LogOff

I recently installed SP1.
When I do Start/Shutdown:
I used to get (as I can best recall) a relatively large bar on the screen
with colored buttons:
Green for Restart
Red for Shutdown
Blue?? for LogOff

Anyway, this type of display has been replaced by a dialog box with a bunch
of MS logos and a pull down menu with the same choices. I find this
inconvenient and annoying.

How do I get the original appearance back?

Start, control panel, user accounts, change the way user log on and off,
check: use welcome screen and fast user switching.
