AOL Network

Nathan

My ISP is AOL and I have two computers, each with a PCI
Ethernet Netgear Network adapter and a Netgear central
hub. If I connect both PCI cards from the host and
client comps and the BTVoyager Modem connection into a
hub then there are no flashing lights on the hub or the
PCI cards themselves (and it also says there is a network
cable unplugged). However, if I connect the two PCI
cards directly, both lights on the PCI cards come on and
the computer says network cables are connected. Now,
both cards are installed correctly but I still cannot
ping the different computers or get a network
functioning. HELP!

You cannot use a hub. You need a router to share an internet connection.
That plus the extreme lameness of AOL....
