AOL insists that it is never connected

This shows the problem I am having. Whether I'm on the
internet or not, XP claims the AOL Dial on Demand feature
is Disconnected. As a result I cannot access the
Properties panel, nor can I access the Change the
Settings for this Connection panel. I click on them, but
nothing happens whatsoever.

AOL did not make their software and dialer compatible
with XP's Network Connections folder, so unfortunately,
you can't do anything with the AOL connection there.

Any settings you need to change have to be changed via
AOL's software.
