AOL IM and e-mail freeze

I have Windows XP and AOL 9.0 optimized with a cable
connection. Internet is fast, downloading no problem. But
is anyone else having a problem with AOL mail and IM?
When I click SEND to send an instant message, it takes 6
seconds to transmit. When I send e-mail, I get an hour
glass for a minute or more while it sends. This started
happening last week and support at AOL seems unable to
help. I have reloaded AOL twice already...same result.
Everything works normally EXCEPT those two functions.

You dont need AOL with a cable setup. Get rid of it.
