AOL crashing bluescreen bad_pool_caller

i keep having problems whilst connect to the net with AOL. my pc crashes and
a bluescreen appears with bad_pool_caller and an error message. i have tried
everything such as reinstalling aol and modem software but to no avail. i
really do not think it is an error with my PC but aol conflicting as the
error report states "a device driver installed on ur pc caused it to crash."

can someone shed any light?

yes, ditch AOL.
It's a virus.
