AOL certificate issue

Jeff Neufer

I use Outlook 2007 with an AOL email address. Lately, I have been getting
the following message when connecting:

Windows does not have enough information to verify this certificate.

Issued to: imap.aol.com
Issued by: AOL Member CA

Valid from 3/19/2009 to 3/19/2011

I have been clicking on the button to continue anyway. I find this both
irritating and worrisome. Is there any security problem. Why did this start
happening?

Thanks!

Sounds like either the Intermetiate or the Trusted Root Certification
Authority certificate isn't available. View the certificate and examine the
Certification Path tab. What do you see?

I see an icon with an exclamation point and aol.imap.com, I think. I had to
exit out to get back to this page.

Try installing the certificate to which I pointed you.
