AOL Automatically Starts

Hi All,

I'm doing a setup for a guy and he has a three node P2P LAN.

Machine 1 is XP Home
Machine 2 is ME
Machine 3 is 98

Machine one has a 56K modem, the others have no Internet connectivity.

He has no ICS running in any way on any machine.

He has AOL, (newest version), installed on Machine 1.

Whenever he starts Windows Media Player on Machine 2, AOL starts on Machine
1, (but it doesn't dial - is just sits there).

We turned off all auto start actions in AOL.

We told WMP not to look for the Net.

What is going on?

Any suggestions?

I'll take as many answers as you all have!

Maybe you should try AOL Tech Support. I know, I hated to write that but
they should really know what their program is calling. What about AOL
Messenger? Does WMP try to do CDDB lookups?
