Since installing XP SP 2 on my daughters computer, her
AOL Instant Messenger program locks up when trying to
start it. Yahoo messenger works fine and so does ICQ on
my machine with XP SP 2. When we start AOL IM, it hangs
up and the only way to free it up is to go to Task
Manager and close out the Dr. Watson program under the
prcesses tab. Any help with the AOL IM issue resolved?

Are you using the Windows Firewall? Maybe you need to manually add AIM
to the exceptions list.

I tried to add AOL IM to the exceptions list but it
wasn't on the list. Wasn't sure how to add it from that
point.
