AOL and Ad-Aware?

Z

Zack

Hello,
Could someone tell me how I can know whether or not
I can delete any files that the AOL/Ad-Aware program
tells me is on my hard drive? It doesn't seem clear to
me whether or not I can. Also, why didn't it look at
every file on my hard drive and not only a small portion
of them?

Part of the report says:

Conditional scan result:
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
New objects : 0
Objects found so far: 9

Summary of this scan
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Total scanning time :00:03:11:829
Objects scanned :41804
Objects identified :9
Objects ignored :0
New objects :9

Help Please,
Zack

Hi, Zack -

Without knowing what Ad-Aware quarantined it's impossible
to tell whether you need it ;-)

My suggestion is to run your computer for a couple weeks
and if nothing blows up go ahead and delete the
quarantined files. Also, it won't hurt anything to leave
them where they are if you're not sure if you need them.

Hope this helps -
