I revently bought the Vista Home Premium upgrade from windows market place
and installed. About 2 weeks later I bought the Vista Ultimate liscence and
then installed Ultimate. Now that I have upgraded from Home premium to
Ultimate with anytime upgrade, can I now can I install my home premium copy
on another computer since it was officialy upgraded to Ultimate and I am no
longer using the home premium?

Well, generally, yes because if Windows [Vista Ultimate] is installed on top
of a lower edition of Windows, it wipes out, or replaces it (Windows Vista
Home Premium). That means you could install it on another computer. If in
doubt look at the Windows Vista EULA (open Windows Explorer > open up the
Menu Bar > Help > About Windows > Microsoft Software Licence Terms) and look
for item number 13: UPGRADES.

Having recenlty reinstalled Vista after purchasing a Windows Anytime Upgrade,
I would answer: No.

Why?

To reinstall WAU to Ultimate from Home Premium required the Home Premium to
be installed AND activated before the upgrade to Ultimate would even work.
Home Premium will not activate if it is found to exist on another machine.

This gives me the impression that the WAU is tied specifically to the
Product ID to which you are upgrading from and like most upgrade paths, does
not relinquish ownership of the prior version.

Unless the Ultimate license was a full license not an upgrade, then you
should be able use the existing Home Premium license.

PMJI but isn't that the wrong way round?

<< If the Ultimate license was a full licence ... >> rather than << Unless
the Ultimate license was a full license ... >>

If it was an Upgrade then MS EULAs usually say that the OS used to support
the Upgrade cannot continue to be used.
