Any way to retrieve deleted email in Microsoft Outlook after installing Vista?

I have succesfully been using MS Outlook with Vista for a couple yeas, but
due to some issues with my system I thought I'd try re-installing Vista
over existing Vista. However, it removed my MS office 2007 including, of
course MS Outlook. In doing so it either deleted the last couple years of
email, or saved them in a folder that I can't find. Can anyone help me
find my lost e,ails. There was some very important information in those
emails.

Thanks a lot

Re-installing Vista will have no effect on your existing Personal Folders
(.PST) file. Re-install Outlook 2007, locate your old .PST file (normally
found at C:\Users\(username)\ AppData\local\Microsoft\Outlook; you may have
to adjust folder view settings as its a hidden file), and connect it to
Outlook using 'File|Open|Outlook Data File'.

As Hal pointed out you will find them. It just shows you that making back ups of everything that you need is prudent and hopefully now you will
