My host just got bought out by another company and they have removed a lot
of the functionality and controls that I need so... can anyone recomend a
good host? I would like the ability to uninstall/install/clean up FP
extensions myself instead of having to submit a support ticket... but my
main need is great email service including the ability to manage mailbox
sizes and account settings from the control panel as well as great webmail
service.

I've been very pleased with them. Good rates, excellent service.

Karl: If you'll study this newsgroup's posts over the past couple of years,
you'll stay away from GoDaddy at all costs.

If you want a host that provides service and supports, and elements that
work, run, don't walk, but run from GoDaddy.

How much are they paying you for your promotional work on these newsgroups?

Well, as you note, I haven't spent a lot of time here. But my
experience with GoDaddy as a registrar is Grade-A, all the way. "It
just works." Their "Total DNS" dashboard really turned my opinion
around overall. Never done business with a company more equipped to
serve their customer. (Despite the stupid ads.) I guess I'll have to
try searching the archives to see what sorts of trouble have come up.
Appreciate the heads-up!

Some hosts will continue to support FP Extensions for years because FP is so
popular and user-friendly.

I've been extremely happy with Everity.com
Others I was considering several years back include:
cyberland-usa.com
kionic.com
nitrozone.com
Here's a helpful tool.... reviews and feedback are key:

Hi Matthew,

Fewer and fewer hosts are offering FrontPage extensions these days. I can
offer an option to you if you want to contact me via the form page below:

Thanks.. but honestly I haven't had any problems finding a host that offers
frontpage extensions... but finding one that offers frontpage extensions and
Microsoft Exchange has been a bit difficult.

InfoQuest does
(I use them exclusively)
- see http://www.infoquest.com/StandardHosting/WebHostingPlans/tabid/148/Default.aspx
(look at the WN300S which is a dedicated IP)
