Frontpage Extensions -- What's Missing if You Don't have them?

Could somone point me to information about what exactly is unusable in FP
2000 if you do not use FP extensions?

I am currently undergoing an awful problem with my webhost -- they
"up-graded" my server, and FP Extensions have not been available for nearly
a week, so I cannot edit my site.

I am considering downloading the site via FTP, editing it and re-uploading
it via FTP. What features will be broken if I do this?

The only FP ext features I use now are Includes, some webmail forms, and a
couple of index pages.

I can't seem to find out what will be broken if I take this desperate step,
but while I am switching to another web-host, I NEED to get these edits
made.

Also, has anyone here had experience with Bluehost and FP Extensions.
That's the company I'm planning on switching to. Any experience with
reliability in terms of FP extensions? My current webhost's service with FP
extensions has been very unreliable.

Thanks in advance for your feedback or help.

Are you using IPower Vdeck? I've been trying to enable the extensions for
the last hour or so and I can't. I've called tech service and they haven't
been much help.

Well, TRYING to use Ipower Vdeck. Mine have been disabled since last Friday
(maybe earlier), and I've been run around the block by their tech service
every since.

They have informed me, finally, today, that the new server is incompatible
with FP extensions. Joy.

Anyone got information about Bluehost and reliability?

Ironically, two posts up (Why is frontpage 2003 playing up) is a person
having problems with her web sites and they're hosted by Bluehost. There's a
start :)

Bummer -- Can anyone out there recommend a hosting company that they haven't
had trouble with FP extensions on?
