Any help appreciated!!

I am a new user to MM2 and an absolute novice! I have rently compiled my first movie and burned it to a Vcd, only to be told that it cannot be played on a DVD player this way. Could anyone please explain the easiest way to use MM2(as I think this is a brilliant and easy to use tool) and create a DVD that I can play in a normal DVD player.
Also, am I right in saying, once I have edited a movie and want to transfer it back on to my camcorder cassette, do I need a firewire and not a USb cable??
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

If you want best quality you want to capture to pc using firewire as well as
being able to send it back. You can use an app like nero to make your
dvd/vcd/svcd, very easy, you just save your movie as a dv-avi file from MM.
