I'm trying to install CA Anti-Virus 2007, but during downloading it stops and
a messages appears saying "Error E9009:Unsupported operation system-Windows
Vista".

Please check the list of applications that works with Vista and are certified
to work .
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/933305
"Applications that have earned the "Certified for Windows Vista" logo or the
"Works with Windows Vista" logo"

I think CA AV was working with Vista beta or so but later editions of Vista
had some problem with CA AV. Please check the list if it has been listed.
Avast AV works fine for me with Vista ultimate.

dear Denise
And you have to update to a version compatible with Vista.
Pl. check this:
http://shop.ca.com/STContent/Microsoft/Default.aspx?sc_lang=en-US
Which has "CA Internet Security Suite 2007" for Vista as a separate product

And CA's Update Center for Windows Vista :
http://home3.ca.com/stcontent/vistaready/index.aspx

Check this FAQ for instruction :
http://home3.ca.com/stcontent/vistaready/index.aspx#faq

And update is available for CA Anti-Virus 2007 which I think you are trying
to install.

Hope this helps.
Thanks & regards

CA AV has a Vista specific version, the general version will not install.
Be sure you are downloading the Vista version.
